Preparation
|
1.
Chairs need to be set, 6 chairs
for each side. And 6 chairs for the prison.
2.
The teachers need to pick 8 more
students to join the play.
3.
One of the teachers will become
the Marshall and the rest will become bandits and sheriffs.
4.
The number will be given by the
Marshall
5.
Stationery in the middle of the
class, bandits in the left side, sheriff in the right side, Marshall stand at
the end of the room.
|
How
you do it
|
1.
Split the children into 2 groups,
bandit and sheriff and they will sit facing each other but far.
2.
The stationery will be placed in
the middle but slightly close to the bandit side.
3.
The Marshall will stand at the
end of the room next to some empty chairs which are the prison.
4.
All bandits and sheriffs received
a number each. This will later be used by the Marshall to play the game.
5.
The game starts by The Marshall
calling out an object and say a number, e.g. pencil, two. Then, the bandit number 2 starts running towards the
object and picks it, and at the same time, sheriff number 2 chases the
bandit.
6.
If the bandit managed to pick the
object and safely returned to his/her chair without getting “caught” by the
sheriff, he/she then needs to shout “I’ve
got the pencil!” The bandit team keeps the pencil. But, if the sheriff
caught the bandit, he/she needs to shout “I caught bandit number two!” and
then confiscates the pencil and the bandit goes to prison.
7.
The game continues until all the
objects have been stolen or confiscated, or until all the bandits are in
prison. The team with the most objects wins.
